2019 marks the 20th year of the Today FM Topflight Ski Trip, where The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show crew hit for the slopes with hundreds of loyal listeners for one of the best weeks of their lives.
For the past number of years it has alternated between Kirchberg and Bad Hogfastein in Austria with over 600 people making the journey for what is a complete Today FM takeover. And with last year being my first time on it, I can vouch for how lit it is!
With the milestone outing kicking off this weekend, Dermot and Dave wanted to pick the brains of the King of the Slopes himself.
The Breakfast Show host takes us back to the first one in Andorra, in 2000, where there was only about forty people on it.
The French didn't really get us
He also tells us about his 'Irish or Austrian' game, the "goat restaurant", some aprés ski antics and Mario even pops in to brag about his 'jet fighter vision'.
