Back in 2020, when we were fully locked down, people took up all sorts of fun and interesting things. Some people started making sourdough, some banana bread, and some set upon trying to complete Netflix.
For Alan Grainger, he used the time to get his neighbours to write not one, but two, books with him. The 93 year old resident of Old Connaught House in Dublin came up with the idea of doing a 'relay race' style book and enlisted his friends to help.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Alan explained how each of the authors were given a chapter to complete and how he took upon the tricky task of editing.
The first book 'The Secrets of Beacon Court' was such a massive success that they've enlisted even more writers and have just released their second book 'Naked in Nenagh'.
Alan told Dermot and Dave how the second book came into being, where the title came from and if we'll see a book three.
