Karen Weekes is days away from history. The Galway native is hoping to become the first Irish woman to row across the Atlantic solo.
After nearly 80 days at sea, completely alone, Karen is a couple of hundred nautical miles from her finish line in Barbados.
While it hasn't always been easy, the sports psychologist and lecturer at MTU has kept the head down, pushed through and kept the positivity levels up.
