If you've ever had a question that's been wrecking your head that even Google can't solve, there's always Dave's World.
Larry got in touch with Dave with this question:
Can Dave's World answer this? A fly lands on the ceiling, and then flies away. How does he fly away? Can he just "turn off" whatever suction pads he uses, fall backwards for a split second, then right himself and fly away? Or does he jump backwards, breaking the suction, fall backwards and right himself? Can't find anything on Google! Larry.
Dave's World can't solve it, but we knew just the person who could. Collie Ennis, Science Officer for the Herpetological Society of Ireland joined Dermot and Dave where he explained how flies, well, fly.
