It's been a tough few months for pop star Britney Spears.
The 'Baby One More Time' singer has been legally under a conservatorship for over a decade now. Her father, Jamie, and a lawyer have been charge of her estate and her finances since 2008.
While active for many years, the last few months have seen a surge of support for the #FreeBritney movement which calls for the convervatorship to be lifted. Those supporting the movement maintain that she has been controlled and has no say on any decisions at all in her life.
There appeared to be some change on the cards when the singer went to court to seek the removal of her father as the sole conservator of her estate but it has instead been extended until February of 2021.
Now, Britney's sister Jamie Lynn Spears has filed in court for more control of a trust fund set up for Britney's children.
Dermot and Dave producer Maria Devereux has been following the developments and explained what's happening and what it means for Britney Spears and her family.
