"If ya wanna blame someone, blame Greenland"
You could just say "it's because we live in Ireland duh", but even by our own abysmal weather standards the summer has started off pretty rank.
Dermot and Dave wanted to get to the bottom of this unseasonal disturbance so gave Alan O'Reilly (the man behind @CarlowWeather on twitter) a call.
Alan is a climate expert who has set up his own weather station and he knows his stuff!
These charts show the pressure anomaly at present and forecast for next 10 days. That dark red over Greenland is the blocking high and as these charts show it is expected to weaken and get closer to normal in coming days with slow improvement in our weather next week. pic.twitter.com/p6aD3Ky5o9
