Today is World Cereal Day - a day when we pay homage to the perfect snack, morning, noon or night.

To mark the occasion, Dave's World brings us some incredible facts about the milk-soaked comfort food  - like did you know 'Snap', 'Crackle' and 'Pop' used to have a fourth companion?

And Today FM listeners join the conversation with some bizarre stories and combinations of their own. Stuff like this:

Lads when we were growing up at our grandads we used to dice up red apples and put it in a bowl with red lemonade, used to eat it like cereal. Loved it!

Our treat was weetabix with butter and marmalade - Carmel

Lads you should try ready brek mixed with cornflakes...yummy

Have a cornflake sandwich with marmalade. It is yummy. Fresh white bread.  Used to have in boarding school and I still love one.

Frosted lucky charms... they’re magically delicious! .... until you puke them up in mass on a Sunday morning when you're 8

Lads for years I was addicted to coco pops. I would put them in the blender and then pop them in the bowl and add milk so it was like a coco pops smoothie. It was like mainlining sugar. Until they changed the recipe a few months back and ruined everything, haven't had them since.
