"It's just a small thing but it's good fun"
Comedian Dylan Moran is known for his dark comedy style on stage and screen and you'll be delighted to hear that he's currently working on a new project for the BBC.
It's hard to believe that it has been 15 years since his BAFTA-winning series Black Books retired from Channel 4 and we often wondered why the writer never followed it up on his masterpiece? So Dermot Whelan asked him straight.
Chatting on Dermot and Dave, the Navan native reveals, "Ya I'm writing a show actually. I'm writing a show now for the BEEB. It's just a small thing but it's good fun".
Although he's keeping quite tight-lipped about it, he did tell us that it's about a couple and he is writing himself into the script.
The unnamed show will film next year and we cannot wait to see what he has up his sleeve.
It's not as if he's been idle all these years - far from it actually. He's been doing stand up all over the world and has some very interesting stories from a recent gig in Minsk, a place he describes as, "the last real dictatorship in Europe".
