Robbie Connell, an officer in the Dublin Fire Brigade, received a diagnosis of prostate cancer in November 2019.
"When you get the news, you're devastated, your world falls apart."
Speaking to Dermot & Dave Robbie said when the consultant told him about his prostate caner diagnosis a fog descended over him.
Robbie felt a deep shock settle over him and turned to his wife for immediate support.
While Robbie recovered in hospital he saw a number for the Irish Cancer Society support line and decided to give them a call.
Robbie spoke to Dermot and Dave about the brilliant support the Irish Cancer Society gave him throughout his recovery.
