''I wanted to see if could I do anything that would help prevent something like this happen again''
Since Ashling Murphy's tragic death last Wednesday, there has been a national outpouring of grief, anger and support not just for Ashling but for the 243 other women who have died violently since Women's Aid records began in 1996.
Inspired by the stories being shared by women around the country, and Ashlings tragic death, Dublin based artist Shane Gillen started a fundraiser for Women's Aid. Shane joined Dermot and Dave to chat about Women's Aid and how taken aback he is by the reaction he has received and what he hopes this will do to help such an important organisation.
