Celebrating your birthday during lockdown isn't easy, but when you're celebrating a birthday as massive as your 100th, it's time to bring in the big guns.
Over the weekend, Margaret Crowley from Courtmacsherry in West Cork hit a most significant milestone when she celebrated her 100th birthday.
Margaret who has 3 children, 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren is cocooning and spending her time baking. She even baked scones last weekend and left them on the windowsill for nearby family to collect!
But, you can't not mark a day as important as this and Margaret's granddaughter Colette came up with a brilliant idea to get the entire town involved.
Because a lot of Margaret's family live outside the 2km zone that we're permitted to travel within, Colette asked those in the local area to drive by Margaret's house to wish her a happy birthday.
Nearly 150 cars turned up decorated in balloons and streamers!
This morning, Colette and Margaret joined Dermot and Dave to chat about how their day was made by the visit and the lads asked Margaret for some top tips to make it to 100. (Spoiler: it's not takeaways and booze!)
