The GAA sure is a religion
Whether it's Gaelic football or hurling, our national sports are a massive devotion in this country, which was proven by a hurl-wielding priest in Tipperary over the weekend.
Fr Vinny Stapleton plays wing-forward for Borris-Ileigh but had to substitute himself off after 45mins of a game because he had to say mass.
They were playing Thurles Sarsfields in the "Tipperary Water" County Senior Hurling League - Round 5 when he had to rush away and pledge his allegiance to a higher cause.
Thankfully, Vinny's cousin Shane was there to capture the moment:
My first cousin, Fr Vinny Stapleton, substitutes himself midway through the second half of a league game against Sars to go say mass. Blessed us with a couple of lovely points. No, this is not a joke @Borris_GAA pic.twitter.com/9XXtxSabLk

Dermot and Dave gave the 37-year-old a call to hear about the game and find out what it's like trying to juggle priesthood with his extracurriculars.
They'd a good laugh about this too:
If I was the manager, I’d go through him, with him, in him.
