And has some big plans for Mrs Brown's Boys
Iconic Irish entertainment personalities don't come any better than Brendan O'Carroll.
For decades, Finglas' finest has wowed audiences worldwide, but it has been his most revered character, the foul-mouthed matriarch Agnes Brown, who has taken him to another level of stardom.
Ever since Mrs Brown's Boys first aired on TV back in 2011, Agnes and her dysfunctional family have captured our hearts and she has no sign of letting up just yet.
Speaking on Today FM's Dermot and Dave, O'Carroll reveals some huge news for the show;
"next year we've got the Encore Tour in the UK, then in 2021 we've got 5 weeks in Australia, we got a week in Auckland, we got 4 weeks in South Africa, we got 5 weeks in the USA and we got 4 weeks in Canada"
Not to mention his new show coming to Dublin's 3Arena this month:
"We're very cute. We make it look like we work really, really hard but we do feck all", he laughs, before revealing his secret - "we work 26 weeks and we take 26 weeks off". And although that seems like the perfect balance, we're sure he's just being humble.
When asked how he has become so successful, he shares some very important tips; guidelines that work across the board;
"some of it is accidental and some of it you work really hard for. Sometimes ya have to stop looking for it. Take a break and it'll find you".
He continues by saying; "don't write anything off...don't look behind ya...and don't stop".
The lads also chat about how the amazing observational skills of an Irish doctor saved Brendan's life last year, and why his family are all so golf-mad.
