Joe Conlan has seen it all over his 30 years in the industry
Dublin's Gaiety Theatre has been hosting pantomimes for well over 100 years and this Christmas, they have chosen the magical tale of Aladdin as the production.
Ahead of the opening show (Sunday, November 24th) extraordinaire Joe Conlon, who is the Queen of Dames at the historic venue, took on Dermot and Dave's #AskMeAnything
Joe gives us some insight into what life is like behind the slapstick world of panto.
He chats about how physically demanding it is, describes what it's like doing seven costume changes a show and applauds the hard work everyone does to put a smile on the faces of people of all ages.
This year’s Christmas panto will run up until January 5, 2020, with two shows a day. Get your tickets on Ticketmaster or the Gaiety Theatre Box Office priced from €19.50.
