It was the year of Irish women in sport, according to a new survey.
Kellie Harrington, Katie Taylor and Rachael Blackmore were voted the three most-admired sportspeople in the country in the Teneo Sport and Sponsorship Index.
Harrington's gold medal was ranked the "the nation's greatest sporting achievement".

Ireland's 29-20 win over the All Blacks in rugby and Rachel Blackmore's victories at Cheltenham and Aintree rounded out the top three spots.
Soccer and GAA were tied as the most popular sports in Ireland, claiming 18 percent of the vote.
Team Ireland, who represented the country in Tokyo2020, were voted the team of the year, followed by the Irish rugby team.
Turning to the new year, The Six Nations is the most anticipated event of the year with 29% of voters giving it its number one.
Meanwhile 26% are looking forward to the FIFA World Cup.
