A Cork woman, who had launched a High Court challenge over the standardised Leaving Cert grade system, has secured the college place she wanted.
She received 613 points last year and had reapplied for a place in dentistry, believing she had the required points for the course in University College Cork.
Last year applicants needed a minimum of 590 to be selected for the course.
However, following this years calculated grading system the points rose to 613.
The High Court heard as a result of this the woman missed out on a place in the course because they were allocated by random selection.
The High Court heard today that she has now gotten a place in the dentistry course and the case could be struck out.
