A woman has been rescued from an elevator in a New York City townhouse after being trapped there for three days.
Fire fighters responded to a call about a person stuck in a lift at the home of a billionaire investment banker yesterday morning.
The 53 year old woman worked there as a housekeeper, and got stuck on Friday after the owner went away for the weekend.
The woman was dehydrated but in a stable condition when she was eventually freed.
