A woman has been treated for shock and hypothermia in Hospital after being rescued from her semi submerged car in the sea at Ballylongford in Co Kerry last night
Its understood the woman who is from Limerick was visiting friends and was unfamiliar with the area.
2 miles West of Ballylongford her car entered the water. She alerted emergency services and was rescued from her semi submerged car.
The woman is expected to make a full recovery. Emergency services say she deserves great credit for remaining calm in extreme circumstances
