Gardai are continuing to question a 40 year old woman in connection with the murder of a man in Co. Louth yesterday.
30-year-old Wayne McQuillan was found with stab wounds outside his home in Drogheda at a quarter to 2 yesterday morning
He was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda, where he was later pronounced dead.
A post mortem was carried out on the victim's body yesterday and having considered the results, Gardaí have now upgraded the investigation to murder.
A 40 year old woman was arrested yesterday at Rathmullen Park in Drogheda, in connection with the killing.
She's being detained at Drogheda Garda Station and must be either released or charged later today.
