A woman in her 80s has died following an assault in Dublin.
The woman was discovered at a house in Kincora Court in Clontarf at around 8pm last night.
She died from injuries received as a result of the assault.
A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene.
He was brought to Clontarf Garda Station - where he is still being questioned.
The victim and suspect knew each other and gardai are following a definite line of inquiry.
They aren’t looking for anyone else as part of the investigation.
