A 34-year-old woman has died after being struck by a van in a hit and run incident in Co Donegal.
It happened at around 2:45am on the N15 at Townparks, Lifford.
The injured pedestrian was taken to University Hospital Letterkenny where she was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí say it's understood the woman was hit by a white van that failed to remain at the scene.
They say the van and its driver have not yet been found.
Traffic diversions are in place in the area while a technical examination of the scene is carried out.
Any witnesses are being asked to contact gardaí, while the force is also urging the driver of the van to come forward.
