Woman Charged With Murder Of Her Two Children In Westmeath Appears In Court Again

A woman charged with the murder of her two children in a Westmeath car fire is due to re-appear before Mullingar District court on October 27th.

It's after a court sitting in Athlone this morning.

48-year-old Lynn Egar, from Winetown, Rathowen, Co Westmeath, is charged with the murders of five-year-old, Thelma, and two-year-old Mikey Dennany.

They died in a car fire in Multyfarnham, Co. Westmeath, on September 9th.

Ms Egar appeared at a special sitting of Mullingar District Court last Thursday and was remanded in custody until today.

She appeared by video link at Athlone District Court this morning and was remanded in custody on consent for a further four weeks.

Ms Egar will reappear before Mullingar District Court on October 27th via video link.

DPP directions are expected to be ready by that date.
