A woman in her 40s has been arrested on the suspicion of murder after the discovery of a body in Dublin.
The victim, a woman in her 80s was found dead in a property at Seville Place at around 11.50 am this morning, with Gardaí saying her body remains at the scene.
The scene is being preserved for a full technical examination to be carried out, while the State Pathologist has been informed.
It's expected a post-mortem will be carried out later today.
Gardaí say they are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body earlier today.
The person who was arrested, a woman in her 40s has been arrested and is being questioned at Store Street Garda Station.
Anyone who was in the Seville Place area recently are being asked to contact Gardaí in Dublin.
