A 23 year-old woman has died after a tree fell on her car in Co. Westmeath.
It happened during high winds in Mullingar.
Gardai are investigating.
Meanwhile Met Eireann has issued a red alter for the West and North West - with winds up to 90 km/h and gusts up to 150 km/h.
This afternoon - a woman was injured when part of the canopy roof of Cork's Kent station collapsed in high winds.
