Storm Gareth is due to hit parts of the country today, bringing strong winds and a chance of coastal flooding.
Gusts could reach up to 130 kilometres an hour during the worst of the conditions.
A status orange wind warning comes into effect for Donegal, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo from midday, while the rest of the country is under a status yellow warning.
In addition to those two weather warnings, a status yellow rainfall warning is in place for all of Connacht, Donegal, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.
Met Eireann are predicting rainfall accumulations of around 25mm.

Sea conditions will be very rough and there will be exceptionally high seas and swell in Atlantic coastal regions at times.
Meanwhile, both the Road Safety Authority and the Gardaí are urging motorists to take extra care on the roads.
