The Coast Guard is warning hikers to stay safe today, as strong gales overnight make coastal conditions dangerous.
Met Eireann has also issued a status orange rainfall warning for Cork and Waterford until Monday and a yellow rainfall warning for Connacht, Kilkenny, Clare, Kerry, Limerick and Tipperary.

The Coast Guard's Gerard O'Flynn says conditions are far from idea and is appealing to those planning outdoor activity and particularly walking along the coast line to be careful.
