10 of 15 acts in tonight's show will make it through to Saturday's final.
Speaking to Dermot and Dave on Today FM earlier, Mickey Joe Harte who represented Ireland in 2003 said it can be a grueling week for performers:
"It's kind of about engaging with the Eurovision community, the Eurovision fans, you know, so all of that PR and media stuff that goes along.
"So there's, there's a lot of press conferences, a lot of tech rehearsals, a lot of dress rehearsals.
"And then you do a full run through of the show. And what they do is they, they record that as is."
The song contest takes place in Liverpool this year despite Ukraine winning the crown in Italy last year. Kyiv was deemed unsafe to host the finals due to the ongoing invasion by Russia.
