Whatsapp has been fined €5.5 million by the Data Protection Commissioner.
The Meta-owned company has been sanctioned by the Data Protection Commissioner in Ireland for breaches related to GDPR.
Facebook and Instagram were fined at the start of this year for a similar issue - both of which are also owned by Meta.
That fine totaled €390 million.
This breach was investigated following a complaint in 2018 about the app asking users to agree to its new Terms of Service, but users wouldn't be able to use it if they declined.
Facebook - now Meta - bought the messaging app in 2014.
Meta said it would appeal the judgment earlier this month about its Facebook and Instagram platforms.
