A new survey has revealed the formula for the perfect barbecue.
Research by Warburtons bakery found you should plan to fire up the grill at 2pm on a day where temperatures are touching 22 degrees.
The survey of 2,000 adults found eight guests is the most manageable number and the gathering should last around 4 hours.
It should be hosted in a picturesque garden setting.
Music should be played in the background according to 47%, but 21% would rather watch sport on TV.
Burgers were named as people's favourite barbecue food, followed by hot dogs and steak.
37% of voted ketchup as their favourite condiment, followed by barbeque sauce and mayonnaise.
