A flood warning's in place for some parts of the country tonight - as up to 70 millimetres is expected to fall before morning.
Met Eireann says the east and south will be worst effected.
But forecaster with Met Eireann Siobhan Ryan says conditions will improve tomorrow afternoon and over the weekend:
