A status yellow wind warning is in place for Leinster, Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Waterford from 8 am until 8 pm on Wednesday. Very strong northwest winds are forecast with gusts of 80 to 110 km/h expected, and stronger in exposed areas.
A status yellow wind warning for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Galway is in effect from midnight until 3 pm on Wednesday. Very strong west-to-northwest winds are expected with gusts of 80 to 110 km/h expected. Stronger winds are expected in coastal areas and over higher ground with wave overtopping in coastal areas.
