Electric Picnic takes place in Stradbally in County Laois this weekend for the first time in three years, with a record of 70,000 people expected.
"Certainly over the course of the weekend, we can expect to see pretty inclement conditions across the country.
Cathal Nolan, from Ireland's Weather Channel, is urging people to wrap up if going to the festival:
"There's a deepening area of low pressure that's to develop through Friday and on into Saturday and Sunday.
"With that it will bring spells of heavy rain at times, not consistent but at times it will be particularly heavy so certainly the case is to wrap up if you're heading to the Electric Picnic this weekend."
