A 19 year old man has drowned in a lake in Co Roscommon - the fourth such incident this week.
The alarm was raised when the young man disappeared at Drinaun lake near Strokestown at around 8 o'clock yesterday evening - Gardaí and the Coastguard launched a search and his body was found at around midnight.
Meanwhile a post mortem examination will be carried out today on the body of a 10 year old boy who drowned in Youghal in Co Cork yesterday.
On Wednesday, a 17 year old boy drowned in a lake in Celbridge in Co Kildare; whilst a woman in her 20s drowned in Abbeyfeale in Limerick on Tuesday night.
