Water restrictions, affecting over a million people, have been lifted in the East - but could resume at 6 o'clock this evening.
Dublin City Council imposed the nightly restrictions because of a production problem at the Ballymore Eustace Treatment Plant - with Dublin and parts of Kildare and Wicklow effected.
Meanwhile, firefighters are urging the council to lift the restrictions tonight - as Hallowe'en is one of it's busiest nights of the year.
