Rebekah Vardy has trademarked the phrase 'Wagatha Christie', despite not coining the phrase.
The footballer's wife lost a libel trial to Coleen Rooney last year, as Rooney had deduced she had been leaking stories to the media.
The trademark means she can bring out a range of products using the phrase.
In June, a play based on transcripts from the High Court battle last year will be featured at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin.
The organisers say the show will go on despite the trademark.
