VHI is to increase the cost of its health insurance.
Policies will increase by an average of 7% from October 1st.
The company says the decision to increase the cost of its health insurance was driven by a significant increase in demand for healthcare following years of Covid-related disruption.
It also says there are now high levels of healthcare inflation in Ireland and abroad.
This is the second price increase from the company this year.
Back in March, its premiums also rose by an average of 4.8%.
