Hundreds of ships were stopped from passing through and its impact was felt all the way in Ireland.
The Bon Bon Summer Shop on Salthill in Galway found their supply of buckets and spades ran dry during last week's heatwave.
The shopkeeper said the goods were stuck in a container which was stopped behind the ship.
After weeks of a financial dispute, which kept The Evergreen docked for weeks, it finally completed its route today.
So all's well that ends well, except maybe the ship's captain.
