The Dáil will vote on a confidence motion in the Ceann Comhairle for the first time in its history today.
Opposition parties have come together to submit the motion in Verona Murphy over her handling of Dáil speaking time row last Wednesday.
She's being accused of showing a clear bias in favour of the Government - something she denies.

It's expected Verona Muphy will comfortably survive this evening's vote.
However, her working relationship with the Opposition into the future is no given thing, as it will be difficult for her to win back the confidence of more than 70 TDs who are likely to vote for her to step down from her role as chair of the House.
Verona Murphy has already set two historic firsts during her time in office.
She is the first woman to be elected to the position of Ceann Comhairle, and she will be the first person to hold the position to face a confidence vote on the floor of the Dáil.
