Cleaners have removed graffiti which was sprayed on to a Luke Kelly statue in Dublin.
Black paint was sprayed on to the eyes and cheeks of the marble sculpture on Sherriff Street last night.
It is the second time the statue has been defaced with graffiti since it was installed last year.

Local Councillor Christy Burke said: "This man was a great ambassador to this country. This man was a local hero.
"It is no way to treat a hero, an icon and one of their own because Luke was born and reared in Sheriff Street."
Dublin City Council has thanked the cleaners for their work and restoring the Luke Kelly statue to its former glory.
