Almost all applicants for US visas will now have to submit their social media details under new rules.
People will have to submit social media names and five years worth of email addresses and phone numbers.
A few diplomatic and official visa applicants will be exempt from the rules, but those travelling to work or study in the US (like someone going on a J1) must provide the information.
The State Department reportedly said:
"We are constantly working to find mechanisms to improve our screening processes to protect US citizens, while supporting legitimate travel to the United States."
The form allows for applicants to add multiple accounts from multiple social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Youtube.
