The United States has evacuated all non-emergency staff from its consulate in the Pakistani city of Lahore - citing specific threats.
The US State Department is also reiterating a warning to US citizens to avoid all non-essential travel to Pakistan.
The move comes as nine people were shot dead outside a mosque in the southwest city of Quetta.
