The United States and Britain have withdrawn staff from their embassies in Yemen over security concerns.
American and British nationals are also being advised to leave the Middle Eastern country immediately.
It comes after a bugged telephone conversation between senior al Qaeda figures revealed a plot for a major attack.

The Department of Foreign Affairs already has a travel advisory in place urging Irish nationals not to go to Yemen due to continuing violent clashes and the ongoing threat of terrorism.
Irish citizens are also already being advised to leave the country immediately.
