A charity says there's been a dangerous rise in the delivery of alcohol through online services like WhatsApp.
Irish Community Action on Alcohol Network says the pandemic has increased the number of unregulated and unlicensed vendors.
It says they're not asking people for proof of age when orders are made over the phone or online.
It's calling for more regulations for "dial-a-drink" services.
ICAAN spokesperson Paula Leonard say licensing laws need to be updated to reflect how services have changed during the pandemic:
"We're hearing from Gardai and regional and local drug and alcohol task forces that they're increasingly concerned alcohol is being delivered to young people without age checks.
"We're hearing reports of alcohol being delivered to groups of young people on beaches and in public parks.
"They are banned in a number of countries but we're not looking to have them banned. All we're looking for is that the same safeguards apply in home delivery situations as apply to going out drinking in your local pub."
