Two people have been killed in a road crash in Co. Donegal.
The two-car collision happened on the N56 at Kilmacrennan, just before midnight on Wednesday.
A man in his 70s, who was driving one of the cars, and a woman in her 70s who was a passenger in the other car both died in the crash.
A woman in her 40s, who was driving the second car, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The road is closed on Thursday morning to allow for a examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area at the time, and who may have video or dashcam footage, to make it available to them.
