Two people have died following a serious crash in Cork.
A single deck Bus Eireann vehicle was involved in the collision in Monkstown.
The Cork city service 216 bus run collided with a pedestrian and a number of parked vehicles during the incident.
The driver of the bus, a male aged in his 50s, died along with the pedestrian - who was in his 60s.
The incident occurred at approximately 1.40pm.
Gardai are investigating whether the driver lost control of the bus after sufering a medical trauma.
Emergency services are at the scene and the Strand Road has been closed in both directions.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
