Two motorcyclists have died in separate crashes in Dublin and Offaly.
The incidents happened within minutes of each other last night.
The first crash happened at a 6.45pm last night in Offaly.
A motorcyclist, aged in his 40s, was involved in a crash at Mullaghatour in Belmont and was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Tullamore for a post mortem exam.
Elsewhere around 15 minutes later at 7pm, a motorcyclist also in his 40s, died in Dublin,
He lost his life in the single vehicle collision in on the M1/M50 slip road .
His body was taken to Beaumont Hospital where a post mortem will take place.
A technical exam of the scene has been carried out and Gardaí are asking anyone with information to contact them.
