Two men in their 20s have died in a road crash in Co Carlow.
The single-car collision happened on the N80 in Rathoe at around 1.15 am on Friday Morning.
The driver and a passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people in the car, a man and woman also aged in their 20s, were taken to St. Luke's General Hospital in Kilkenny with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
It's understood the car was travelling from Mount Leinster to Carlow Town.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, and have asked for anyone with video or dashcam footage along this route to make it available to them.
Emergency services are currently at the scene. A section of the N80 is closed and local diversions are in place.
The road will remain closed for a number of hours on Friday morning while an examination is carried out.
This day last year, three young people died in a collision on the same section of road in Leagh.
