Two people, including a former Garda staff member, have been charged in connection with corruption offences.
A woman in her twenties and a man in his thirties appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court this morning.
26-year-old Holly Hayden of Charlesland Woods in Greystones was handed five charges relating to corruption when she was arrested from her home this morning.
The former civilian Garda staff member was charged with sharing information to an individual in October 2019, knowing it would have a harmful effect.
She was also charged with three counts of accessing information relevant to an individual from a computer in Dun Laoghaire Garda Station during September and October of that year.
Ms Hayden shared this information corruptly in exchange for cocaine, consideration or advantage.
She also obtained and exchanged information relating to Garda Covid Checkpoints.
33-year-old Daniel Webb of Charlesland Grove in Greystones has been charged with three counts of agreeing to exchange cocaine or cash or advantage for information relating to an individual.
He’s also charged with the same offence in relation to information about himself.
Both Ms. Hayden and Mr. Webb will appear again before the courts at a later date.
