Two people are in a serious condition in hospital after they were attacked by a group of men in Cork.
It happened shortly before one o'clock this morning at a house in Ballincollig.
Sometime between midnight and one o'clock this morning, Garda were called to an altercation involving a group of men at a house at Innishmore Square.
A man in his 60s and a woman in her 30s were injured and have been taken to Cork University Hospital.
Their wounds are described as serious but non-life threatening.
The scene at the house was preserved last night and a number of weapons including a golf club and a hammer were recovered outside.
No arrests have been made as of yet but investigators are appealing to anyone who passed Innishmore Square at around one o'clock this morning to come forward.
