Two Cork students have been named the overall winners of the BT Young Scientist and Technology awards for 2020.
Cormac Harris & Alan O’Sullivan from Colaiste Choilm have won for their project entitled “A statistical investigation into the prevalence of gender stereotyping in 5-7 year olds and the development of an initiative to combat gender bias”.

They take home the top prize of €7,500.
They will also go on to represent Ireland at the EU Contest for Young Scientists, which takes place in Spain this September.
Cormac and Alan will also get to attend the 62nd Annual London International Youth Science Forum later in the year.
More than 1,100 students from 244 schools took part in this year's competition.
